Following the Government’s most recent guidance to avoid mass gatherings and implement social distancing, events and leisure venues across the country are being cancelled, postponed and closed.

We do not have a comprehensive list of all affected events and activities in Sheffield, but are sharing what we know.

We recommend anyone with a ticket or booking for an event contacts the organiser or visits their website to check the position and what options are available.

  • From Saturday 21 March – All Parkruns: Cancelled until further notice
  • Sunday 29 March – Sheffield Half Marathon: Postponed until September
  • Saturday 4 April – Easter Egg Hunt, Chapeltown Park: Cancelled
    • (all other events up to 11 July at Chapeltown Park have also been cancelled)
  • Sunday 5 April – Support Dogs Sponsored Walk, Endcliffe Park: Postponed until November
  • 6 to 12 April – British Paralympic Swimming Championships, Ponds Forge: Cancelled
  • Wednesday 8 April to Monday 4 May – World Snooker Championship: Postponed until July
  • Sunday 12 April – Egg Run, Weston Park: Cancelled
  • Monday 13 April – Porter Valley Duck Race, Endcliffe Park: Cancelled
  • Sunday 3 May, Highland Fling at Graves Park: Cancelled
  • Saturday 16 May – Fake Festival, Endcilffe Park: Cancelled
  • Sunday 17 May – Weston Park May Fayre at Weston Park: Cancelled
  • Friday 22 to Monday 25 May – Sheffield Food Festival: Postponed until September
  • Thursday 4 to Tuesday 9 June – DocFest: Public events replaced by virtual activity
  • Saturday 20 June – Grenoside Gala: Cancelled
  • Monday 29 June to Sunday 5 July – Crosspool Summer Festival: Cancelled
  • Saturday 11 July – Stannington Carnival: Cancelled
  • Saturday 18 July – Legends Festival, Norfolk Heritage Park: Cancelled for 2020
  • Sunday 19 July – 80s Anthems vs 90 Club Classics, Norfolk Heritage Park: Cancelled for 2020


Tramlines Festival is due to take place on Friday 31 July – Sunday 2 August. At the moment the organisers are planning to go ahead but ticket holders will be notified if this changes.
