Mini golf, puppet shows and storytelling are just part of a packed schedule of free family-friendly activities coming to the Moor Market this summer.

Events will be taking place each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout August and range from sports activities such as mini golf and ping pong through to storytelling and the little library, puppet shows and face painting, plus the chance to meet a few well-known faces including Olaf, Minions and Dora the Explorer.

The Hallam FM street team will also be out and about promoting the activities.

Leigh Bramall, deputy leader of Sheffield City Council and cabinet member for business skills and development, said: “It is great to see so much happening over the summer at the Moor Market.

“As well as supporting Sheffield traders and businesses by buying local, families can take advantage of the free family events that are sure to be a hit with people of all ages.

“There is something for everyone, from mini golf to the chance to meet Dora the Explorer. We hope everyone will enjoy the events and activities while stocking up on fresh produce, tasty treats and local goods.”

The activities are all free to attend and families should go to the customer services desk on the day of the event. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
