We are getting ready to celebrate Yorkshire Day, and we want to get the people of Sheffield involved!

We want your pictures of the people and places in Sheffield that you love, and you must include a white rose in the picture, whether this be a real rose, a picture, a model, a flag, or another white rose of any kind.

Send your pictures in advance to communications@sheffield.gov.uk – we will pick the best 24 and tweet one an hour for 24 hours on Yorkshire Day itself, 1 August. The 24 pictures will also make up an exhibition in Sheffield’s Moor Market

You can also get involved on the day on Twitter, and tweet your images with the hashtag #sheffyorksday

There is a hamper of Yorkshire goodies to win for the best picture of all. And all of the top 24 pictures will be exhibited at the Moor Market.

We want to get as many positive images of our great city out there on Twitter on Yorkshire Day, and show the world what a fantastic place Sheffield is.

Don’t forget that you must have permission to take and use your photos, especially if it includes a child. By sending us the photo you’re agreeing to us using it on twitter and in the exhibition.
