Local catering businesses are being given the opportunity to find out more about Sheffield City Council’s catering services as part of a review of the present contract.
The Council has arranged a drop-in session in the new year to discuss the contract in detail with potential catering suppliers.
The suppliers will be able to drop into the Town Hall to discuss the opportunities being considered for operating the catering outlets and events in the Council’s civic buildings.
Catering suppliers will be able to meet Councillor Ben Curran, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Resources and Finance, and the buyers for these services to discuss the supply options and view the current catering sites.
Cllr Curran said: “We are reviewing the contract for the catering services in our buildings to ensure we get the best value for Sheffield tax payers. This market testing session will give us a better idea of the various options open to us in providing these services.
“The event on 6 January will give local caterers who may be interested in the contract a chance to ask any questions they may have directly with the officers and to view the catering locations.”
The event is to be held in the Town Hall Reception Room B on Wednesday 6 January between 9.30am and 12 noon.
Those interested in attending or wanting to find out more about the event should contact Sarah Rani at email@example.com .
