The University Arms won a Silver Gilt Award in the Public Houses and Restaurant Category and Bradfield and Grenoside both gained a Silver Awards.

The Friends of Holme Lane Community Garden and High Green in Bloom both won Thriving Awards and Crookes Community Forum was given a Developing Award.

The Royal Horticultural Society judges decided to give a joint Discretionary Award to Grenoside War Memorial with Knaresborough War Memorial.

Councillor Isobel Bowler, Sheffield City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure commented: “Congratulations to all who gained awards at this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom Competition. A lot of hard work went into achieving such excellent results and their efforts have certainly contributed towards making Sheffield such a green city and a great place to live.”
