Tuesday 2 May 2017

As fans gather to celebrate Sheffield United’s promotion to the Championship, city centre road closures are now in place at:

  • Surrey Street/Norfolk Street junction
  • Norfolk Row/Norfolk Street
  • Fargate
  • Leopold Street (West Street junction)
  • Pinstone Street
  • Burgess Street (Barkers Pool House)
  • Holly Street/Balm Green

We expect these road closures will remain until 9:30pm but will open them sooner if it is safe to do so.

Rolling road closures will start from around 5:15pm as the open top bus tour comes from Bramall Lane to the Town Hall, at:

  • Cherry Street
  • Bramall Lane
  • St Mary’s Gate – across the roundabout
  • Eyre Street
  • Furnival Gate – across the roundabout
  • Arundel Gate
  • Norfolk Street

We anticipate the open top bus will leave Bramall Lane at 6:15, at which point the above roads will be closed. These roads will be reopened as the bus passes through, as long as it is safe to do so.
