People in and around Woodseats are being asked to vote on the opening hours of the new Woodseats Library which opens this September.
The branch will be based in the new Woodseats Medical Centre on Chesterfield Road, with modern facilities, new books, a separate children’s library area and new public toilets.
It will open for 31 hours a week and people are being asked to choose one of two timetable options, both including a Saturday and weekday evening. People are also being asked what extra activities and services they would like to see.
The consultation runs until Friday 23 June. Visit sheffield.citizenspace.com or pick up a survey from the Woodseats Medical Centre on Cobnar Road or at Ecclesall and Highfield Libraries.
Councillor Mary Lea, Cabinet Member for Culture, Parks & Leisure at Sheffield City Council, said: “The new library is going to be great and will have fantastic facilities in a brand-new building.
“We want to shape the service so it provides what local people want, so we’re asking them to vote on the opening hours and tell us what extra services and activities they’d like to see.
“Woodseats library opens this September and we want all local people to use it. It will be very different to the older building where it used to be based, so come check it out and see what’s on offer.”
The new Woodseats library will be one of 28 branches in Sheffield. Visit www.sheffield.gov.uk/libraries to find out more.
